About Us
The aim of MRC Ltd is to provide a safe, stable and consistent living environment in which a young person can have the opportunity to develop to their full potential.
Young people who have left the care system and with mental health and other complex needs can often feel that they are isolated. Our aim is to actively break down these barriers whenever the opportunity arises.
The progress of young people is monitored through robust care planning systems and monitoring tools that key workers utilise with the young people in our care. Young people are made aware from the start of their experience within MRC of the achievable goals that they can aspire to.
Social Workers can share these progress tools to ensure every agency is involved in supporting the young person to achieve.
The management team offer advice, guidance and signposting opportunities where and when required, alongside the packages of care and treatment plans designed to meet the person’s individual needs through round-the-clock support from the staff team.
Individualised care packages and treatment plans are designed in collaboration with the client, their support network, and the community team to ensure that all specified requirements and needs are covered and that the person's independence is maximised using the least restrictive practices feasible. The treatment plan or package of care may be for either a short-term or long-term placement, and in both cases clients will receive the same level of attention and support from the team.
We aim to make a positive difference to the personal and social lives of the young people entrusted into our residential home.
Our focused approach is delivered within a family ethos and this provides a platform from which young people can really enjoy their lives and achieve as they transition into adulthood
We remain committed to the development of the residents we support and look after.
Nurturing and developing the strengths of the young people we support
Adopting and presenting a person centred approach to meeting the individual needs of the young people in our care.
We never stop trying to encourage our young people to achieve their goals.
Our client base is generally young people between the ages of 16 and 24, who are transferring from children to adult services and who may benefit from residential care. In such cases, individual risk assessments would be conducted, and they would be encouraged to attend community educational programmes as part of their overall care plan.
As part of our comprehensive approach, we promote and assist residents in gaining access to local facilities, public transportation, education, training and employment options, as well as facilitating social and recreational activities and events where
possible.
